The Dexia Group is in orderly resolution as a bank until 31 December 2023. In July 2023, the Group applied for the withdrawal of the banking and investment services authorisations of Dexia (formerly Dexia Crédit Local), which was approved by the European Central Bank in December 2023, with an implementation date of 1 January 2024.
Since 1 January 2024, Dexia (formerly Dexia Crédit Local) has therefore continued its orderly resolution as a non-bank.

The Dexia Group, a former banking group under orderly resolution since 2012, with its main establishments in Brussels and Paris and branches in Ireland, the United States and Rome, is looking for a junior legal specialist for its Rome branch. The junior legal specialist will be tasked with managing transactions and relationships with Italian public-sector institutions, including related disputes.
This post based in Rome is for a temporary contract. Compensation will be commensurate with the past relevant experience that the candidate brings to the position.
The junior legal specialist will:
- support the local legal counsel
· in managing complex disputes involving the Italian and UK judicial authorities, in relation to financing and swap transactions with Italian public-sector institutions.
· in managing relationships with external lawyers.
· in assessing the legal impacts of the activities carried out by the branch.
- provide internal reporting on status of disputes.
- prepare supporting documentation for the branch’s decision-making bodies and central bodies relating to matters within the branch’s remit.
- help to ensure that all legal acts connected with the branch’s activities are correct in both substance and form and are compliant with laws and regulations.
