Job description

As part of the establishment of a new Middle Office Payments team, created following the outsourcing of part of its back office market activities, our small company is looking for a Middle Office Payments Officer.


Reporting to the Middle Office Payments Manager, he/she will be responsible for the daily control/management and execution of payments and the monitoring/forecasting of the cash position and will, in this capacity:

  • Contribute to the management of the cash flow forecast;
  • Control, manage, and execute cash flows and payments (automatic and manual);
  • Ensure the execution of level 1 controls (KPIs, ongoing control campaigns, risks, etc.);
  • Monitor and produce activity reports for the team set up to monitor payment activity;
  • Ensure the production of certain specific reports related to Dexia's “related” activities (reporting on state guarantees, monitoring of custodian accounts, etc.);
  • Contribute to projects impacting Dexia's “payments” sphere and be a source of proposals for the continuous improvement of the team's operational processes.

The performance of these tasks is governed by rules formally defined by the Code of Conduct and the operating procedures of Dexia's Trading Room (transaction practices, money laundering, ethical obligations).

Profile

Curious, versatile, and highly interested in market activities, the ideal candidate:

  • Has a higher education degree in finance/management (minimum bachelor's degree).
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and adaptability skills, a collaborative team spirit, good autonomy, and the ability to manage emergencies.
  • Have a good knowledge of market activities and instruments, payment platforms (Swift, SEPA, etc.), and the management of correspondent banks and custodians.
  • Proficient in office software and Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP LMS tools or IT development skills would be a plus.
  • Proven experience in the banking sector, preferably in back office or middle office markets or payments.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) and good writing skills, which are essential for this position.
