Job description
You will be joining a team of 2 interns within the Risk & Validation Department, in the Credit/Cross-Sectional Model Validation Department. You will be working on cross-functional models, at the interface between credit and market models. The aim of the work-study program will essentially be to carry out cross-functional validation exercises, in particular for ICAAP, the VLTM (Very Long Term Model) and all Dexia's structuring models.
The work-study student will be required to present the results of validation exercises to end-users.
The work-study student will :
- Formalize internal validation reports for validation committees (in English).
- Follow-up on recommendations and action plans issued, administration and operation of recommendation management tools.
- Identify and assess sources of model uncertainty and risk, while keeping up to date with state-of-the-art techniques useful for model development, validation and monitoring.
The work-study student may also be required to :
Carry out validation exercises for new rating models/model evolution (recalibration), model back-testing exercises (PD, LGD) and stress-testing on all types of counterparty: Corporate, Project Finance, Bank, Sovereign, Public Sector... involving interviews, critical analysis of documents and databases, Matlab and R tests and implementation of alternative methods on internal validation tools.
Carry out Validation exercises relating to the Group's provisioning standard.
Conduct reviews of model implementation in rating tools (Data & Programming).
Profile
You are currently in higher education at Bac + 4/5 level with a major in statistics.
You have knowledge of Matlab and R.
You are proficient in Access and Excel (knowledge of VBA and SQL is an asset).
You have statistical skills.
You have good oral and written communication skills, particularly in English (also written and oral).
You are recognized for your good interpersonal skills, your ability to work as part of a team, your organizational skills, your rigor and your analytical abilities.
